Nadine Templeton -Social Sciences Board Chair
Nadine is the chair of the Social Sciences Student Editorial Board, and this is her second year as a member of IUJUR. She is a sophomore from Carmel, Indiana. Nadine looks forward to promoting and helping to publish undergraduate research this year!
Wei Wang
Wei Wang is a sophomore majoring in Linguistics and Journalism and minoring in Spanish. He is from Shanghai, China. He is a reporter at the Indiana Daily Student and looks forward to applying the skills acquired from his studies and experiences in whatever future path he embarks on.
Arvind Jagdish
Arvind is a freshman majoring in Public Policy Analysis, co-majoring in Law, Ethics, and Decision Making, and minoring in political science. He is from Cupertino, California, and is interested in researching political science, business economics, and behavioral science. Arvind is interested in pursuing a career in law and legal services and hopes to attend law school after graduation.
Christian Hickman
Christian Hickman is a Senior Studying Psychology and Neuroscience. His academic interests are in Applied Behavior Analysis, Neuroimaging Techniques, and Experimental Teaching Systems. He plans on pursuing a career in applied research, clinical consulting, and teaching. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, and acrylic painting.
Decker Pope
Decker is a junior studying linguistics and French. Aside from IUJUR, he is the vice-president of Les chevaliers, a student-run French club. He is interested in conducting research on syntactic processing in the brain. Outside of school, he really enjoys caring for his houseplants, studying languages, and cooking.
Ellie Clark
Ellie is a third year Policy Analysis major in the O'Neill Honors Program with minors in Education Policy and Communication and Public Advocacy. Outside of class, Ellie has a part time job as a writing tutor at WTS and is involved in sorority life on campus. She likes to spend her free time listening to Taylor Swift, watching nature documentaries, and managing her cat's Instagram account. Ellie is passionate about youth and education, and in her future she hopes to pursue a career involving policy research, law, or consulting.
Joelle Jackson
Joelle Jackson is a freshman Wells Scholar from Bloomington, Indiana, currently pursuing majors in Theatre and Anthropology, with a minor in Folklore Studies. She is a part of the Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience program, and plans to be involved in research throughout the next four years. Beyond academics, Joelle also enjoys studying Elective Ballet at IU.
Luke Swain
I am currently an Econ major but I’m passionate about all social sciences. I enjoy reading and listening to music and am extremely excited to be on this year’s social sciences board!
Poorabi Nanda
Poorabi is a freshman from Bloomington, Indiana majoring in Political Science. Outside of IUJUR, she is involved in Model United Nations and enjoys binge-watching T.V. shows in her free time.
Sarah Nawar
Sarah Nawar is a sophomore from Avon, Indiana studying Neuroscience and Sociology. She is a Cox Research Scholar and is a research assistant in Dr. Anne Krendl’s lab in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. In her free time she enjoys hiking and trying different coffee shops.
