Muskaan Ramchandani
Muskaan Ramchandani is a junior from Carmel, IN studying Neuroscience and Biology with a minor in Healthcare Management and Policy. Her experience as an undergraduate research assistant has fueled her passion for science. She is currently investigating various proteins involved in bacterial cell wall biosynthesis. In addition to being the editorial board chair, Muskaan is also an avid volunteer with The Mask Project and Middle Way House, and she is additionally a Neighborhood Coordinator for Hutton Honors Council Association. In her spare time, Muskaan loves to travel, try new foods, and dance!
Adhitya Balaji
Adhitya is a junior from Greenwood, IN double majoring in Molecular Life Sciences and Neuroscience with a minor in Economics on a Pre-Med track. He has been involved in research and education outreach since his junior year of high school at various institutions including IUPUI, IU School of Medicine, and IU Bloomington. Currently, he is studying mitochondrial chaperones, through the IFLE and STARS programs, with Dr. Lingling Chen’s lab in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry. Outside of IUJUR, Adhitya is on the board for Intra-Collegiate Emergency Medical Services, serving as an EMT. He is also on the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education’s Student Advisory Board and is a TA for M119 and the EMT course.
Julian Spangler
Julian is a junior from Noblesville, Indiana studying Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. His field of research is in nuclear chemistry. After graduating, he plans to attend medical school or graduate school for chemistry. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, running, and hiking.
Anjali Dziarski
Anjali Dziarski is a Junior studying physics. She’s also pursuing minors in Math, Environmental Science, and French. She loves to dance and sing is an active member of ballroom club.
Maximilian McCoy
Max is a sophomore from South Bend, IN. He is majoring in Chemistry and is involved in nanomaterial research with the Skrabalak Lab here at IU. Max also is an assistant researcher at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, focusing primarily on the applications of thromboelastography. Back home in South Bend, Max works as a cheese-monger's assistant at a local cheese shop!
Emma Rose Gallant
Emma Rose Gallant is a sophomore neuroscience major from Evansville, IN. As a Cox Research Scholar, she works in Dr. Tennessen’s lab studying genetics and metabolomics related to toxicology in fruit fly models. Catch her at one of the many dance clubs on campus or spending time with friends. She’s always ready to bake, watch a movie, read a book, or play with a dog!
Nicky Goh
Nicky Goh is a Freshman Wells Scholar from Bloomington, IN, studying intelligent systems engineering and microbiology with minors in chemistry and mathematics. He is a member of the Fuqua Lab studying bacterial pathogenesis with a focus on biofilm synthesis. In his spare time, Nicky enjoys hiking, running, and watching squirrels roam IU’s campus. He hopes to travel to Thailand to sample spicy food and bask in its majestic sunsets one day.
Kevin Rostam
Kevin Rostam is a freshman from Avon, Indiana studying Neuroscience and Psychology. His experience as an undergraduate research assistant has augmented his fascination with science as he continues to examine the mechanistic underpinnings of neuroregeneration within the central nervous system. In addition to being a member of the natural sciences editorial board, Kevin is a residence hall co-president for the Hutton Honors Council Association and a member of Nu Rho Psi, Alzheimer's Student Alliance, and Timmy Global Health. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys cycling and listening to music.
Parmida Nazarloo
Parmida Nazarloo is a freshman from Fishers, IN majoring in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Sociology. Parmida is currently doing research on immune response and behavior in Gryllodes sigillatus crickets through the ASURE program which inspired her to join IUJUR and help other undergrads pursue their research careers. Parmida is also on a pre-medical track and enjoys volunteering for Timmy Global Health and the Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students. In her free time, Parmida enjoys trying different boba flavors and watching horror movies with her friends.
