Meghana is a sophomore, from Floyds Knobs, IN. She is majoring in biochemistry with a minor in social science and medicine. Currently, she is in the Hundley lab studying RNA editing in C. elegans. In the future, she hopes to become a physician that is also involved in research. In her free time, she likes to read, cook, and crochet.
Sulaiman Rehman is a sophomore from Newburgh, Indiana studying Biology on the pre-med track. He is an undergraduate researcher in the Newman Memory Lab studying path integration encoding in the brain using rats. Outside of IUJUR, Sulaiman is also a part of the Brain Exercise Initiative Group on campus. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, watching soccer, and listening to music.
Anna Heintzman is a junior at Indiana University pursuing a Biochemistry BS and East Asian Languages and Cultures BA. She is part of the IU Chinese Flagship and intends to pursue a medical career abroad after graduation. She works in research on campus at the Capone Lab studying the field of WASH and enteric pathogen transmission. In her free time, she enjoys baking, cooking, weight lifting, and watching MasterChef Junior.
Zain is sophomore from Carmel, IN majoring in Neuroscience. Along with working for the IUJUR, Zain is also an editor for the IU undergraduate journal Law & Disorder. In his spare time, he enjoys playing table tennis, lifting, and exploring nature.
Faith Stimson is a sophomore from Bloomington, IN studying Biochemistry and Spanish. Along with IUJUR, Faith is also on the Science and Technology board of the Hutton Honors College Council Association and does research in the VanNieuwenhze Lab. In her free time, she enjoys reading and going on walks around campus.
Grant Newman is a sophomore from Fort Wayne, IN, studying Biochemistry, Neuroscience, and Portuguese. He is an undergraduate researcher in the VanNieuwenhze Lab investigating optimization of probes to study bacterial peptidoglycan synthesis. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his dogs.
Yahya is a sophomore from Indianapolis, IN studying Computer Science on the Pre-Medical track. His research experiences have fueled a passion for computational biology and neuroscience. Outside of IUJUR, he is a member of the Wells Scholar Program and Matriculate. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, listening to music, and photography.
