SEB: Natural Sciences Board

Yahya Amjad

Yahya is a junior from Indianapolis, IN studying Computer Science on the Pre-Medical track. His research experiences have fueled a passion for radiology and computational biology. He is currently a member of a lab group at the Indiana University School of Medicine that is working on creating a VR simulator for CT-guided lung biopsies. Outside of IUJUR, he is a member of the Wells Scholar Program and the Muslim Student Association. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, listening to music, and photography.

Caley Monnier

 Caley is a sophomore majoring in Human Biology. She is from a small town in Southern Indiana named Seymour. She currently work in a faculty lab where she studies electric fish, and her current research interests include immunology and animal behavior.

Sulaiman Rehman

Sulaiman Rehman is a junior from Newburgh, Indiana studying Biology on the pre-med track. He has worked as an undergraduate researcher in the Newman Memory Lab studying path integration encoding in the brain using rats. Outside of IUJUR, Sulaiman is also a part of the Hutton Honors Council Association. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, watching soccer, and listening to music.

Manpreet Khera

Manpreet Khera is a Junior from Greenwood. She is majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Political Science, with a goal of attending medical school. At IU, Manpreet is a part of the Gift of Life - a STEM Cell and Bone Marrow registry, and works in the Yu lab, where she helps research medicinal delivery methods.

Addison Joyce

 Addison Joyce is a freshman majoring in biology and animal behavior on a pre-med track. She loves hiking and spending time outdoors and is am very excited to be on the natural sciences SEB this year!

Connor Schmitt

Connor is a freshman studying neuroscience from South Bend, Indiana. He finds topics like chemistry to be intriguing and is passionate about sports/fitness. He is excited to gain experience in the research process!

Faith Stimson

Faith is a junior at IU studying Biochemistry and Spanish. She’s been a member of the IUJUR Natural Sciences Board for three years. Outside of IUJUR, she is a WTS tutor, teaches English through the VITAL program, and is a member of the Science and Technology Board of the HHCA. She also enjoys reading and baking new desserts!

Connor Schmitt

Connor is a freshman studying neuroscience from South Bend, Indiana. He finds topics like chemistry to be intriguing and is passionate about sports/fitness. He is excited to gain experience in the research process!

Vikram Damodaran

Vikram is sophomore studying biology from Carmel, IN. He is an undergraduate researcher in the Gerdt lab currently studying molecules produced by the interactions between bacteriophages and bacteria. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, going to the gym, and cooking.

Sajid Habib

Sajid Habib is a junior from Carmel, IN studying Neuroscience on the pre-medical track. Sajid is involved in other clubs such as Muslim Student Association and is hoping to get involved in research focusing on Neurobiology. In his free time he likes to read, workout, and play soccer.

Suhani Desai

Suhani Desai is a sophomore from Greenwood, IN studying Neuroscience on the pre-med track. She is an assistant researcher for Brown University conducting research in the Cardiology department. She is also a member of Phi Delta Epsilon, a pre-medical fraternity. In her free time, she enjoys working out, listening to music, watching TV shows, and cooking.
