IUJUR launches new website

By: IT Board

Sunday, November 06, 2016

The IU Journal of Undergraduate Research has officially launched its new website, which will provide information on this year’s staff, past publications and much more content for the IU student body to use.

The journal is run by students, and is published annually in June. Humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and professional schools are all represented within the journal each year. The staff is divided into several boards, each with different areas of focus, whether it’s editing, visual design, communications, or IT.

This year, IUJUR is run by co-editors Rayne Kim and Sonali Mali, as well as managing editor Kaveet Pandya.

“I am thrilled with the launch of the IUJUR website,” Mali said. “The IUJUR website is a wonderful extension of IUJUR’s mission to increase the accessibility of undergraduate research opportunities and encourage a culture of curiosity amongst undergraduates.”

The Information Technology board was responsible for launching IUJUR’s new online presence. The design is based on IU’s own web framework, built on the Web Content Management System (WCMS).

WCMS allows all of IU’s websites to have a unified look, while providing an effective tool for creators and developers to manage, present and host their organization’s content.

The website outlines style and submission guides for aspiring researchers who are looking to get their work published. On the site, visitors will also be able to find up-to-date news, staff biographies, in-depth descriptions on what the journal does and even deadlines for submissions.

For this school year, the final submission deadline will be February 15, 2017. Make sure to browse the website for more details!
